NOTE: Due to
UEFA safety regulations the capacities of stadiums licensed by UEFA decrease often in Champions League Matches because of necessary
separation of home and away supporters. This means generally a capacity
reduction of 1.000 to 3.000 seats. For example there were capacity crowds
in Gerland stadium (Lyon) at the matches against Inter FC and AFC Ajax
with attendances of 37.770 and 38.134. The stadium is licensed for
41.449 supporters by UEFA. Also Arsenal FC's matches were sold out with
crowds of 34.907 and 35.302 whilst the UEFA capacity for Highbury Park is
37.746. So the maximum licensed capacity is often not attainable in reality. |
