ABOUT
FOOTBALL TEMPLES OF THE WORLD The History of
"Football Temples of the World"
Football temples went online on December 20th in 2000. As my interest in
stadiums grew in the year of 2000 and as in my opinion there existed very few
good stadium sites on the internet I decided to start a little project. In the
beginning my goal was to list the capacities of the most important football
(soccer for americans and australians) stadiums in Europe and provide some
pictures for them. But soon I wanted to go further and started to search for
information about football stadiums throughout the world.
At the moment when I completed all the FIFA confederations I realized that it
was not enough to list only capacities and show some pictures. So the idea of
additional details became reality and with it a completely new lay-out. I
invested lots of time to collect information and I am still spending much time
on updating and expanding "Football Temples of the World".
Today you can find many interesting facts about the world's football stadiums on
my site - as for example the number of covered seats, box seats or the
floodlight power - facts you do not find on other stadium sites on the
internet.
In these days "Football Temples of the World" is one of the biggest sources on
the world wide web concerning stadiums which are used to play the most exciting
sport on earth: football. And still my goal is to provide the most complete,
most up-to-date and most exact source of data about the football stadiums in the
world.
I hope this site satisfies your curiosity and answers your questions. On
"Football temples of the world" you have the opportunity to take a trip around
the whole wide world of stadiums simply by doing some mouse-clicks. If you have
additional questions or if you find data which is
not correct – don’t hesitate to inform me by writing an
e-mail.
I am looking forward to every kind of feedback.
